A Gratitude Altar Will Give You a Daily Dose of Thanksgiving – Here's How!

Gratitude can be can be expressed in many ways in our homes on a daily basis. I recommend creating a Gratitude Altar with your family that stays up all year. Here's how!

  • First, find a special location: fireplace mantel, a tabletop, a windowsill, a shelf or even a radiator cover.
  • Each family member should offer at least three special items that represent something/someone for whom they are grateful. If a child feels grateful to play baseball, then a baseball card, or if a parent enjoys baking, then a wire whisk.
  • Take delight in this fluid altar all year long!

It can be a great place to gather for frequent family sharing.

What a great idea, Annie Burnside . My grandson loves to put things that are special to him on the window sill. He's been making a gratitude altar and didn't even know it. :-)
